Free for you

You do not pay a placement fee. The employer pays the costs of the placement. If someone asks you for money in connection with nowmatters.health, please contact us.

What we do differently

  • Checked employers

We check every facility before it can see profiles.

  • Your decision

You decide which employers you talk to. You are free to talk to other employers until you sign a contract.

  • A clear process

You can always see where you are and which documents are still missing.

  • Support after you arrive

After you arrive, we still answer your questions about the authorities, housing and daily life – in your language.

What you should know

Nursing in Germany is often different from hospital work at home. We want to tell you this before you start.

  • Many jobs are in long-term care (Langzeitpflege). This includes basic care (Grundpflege): washing, dressing and helping people eat.
  • Until your recognition is complete, you may first work as a nursing assistant (Pflegehilfskraft). This depends on your path.
  • Recognition takes time, often more than one year. How long it takes depends a lot on the authorities (Behörden).
  • Good German is the most important thing in daily life with the residents.
